Calculate Your Petrol Costs

posted on 20 March 2008

You can calculate how much you spend on a journey using this fuel calculator.

The average car owner will pay £1324 a year in fuel alone based on 10,000 miles travel, 35MPG and 102 pence per litre.

Petrol prices are set to increase (inevitably) in the future too, as oil prices rise.

Most people need a car for particular journeys, but many trips aren't necessary in a car; an electric bike would easily pay for itself in the first year if you used it regularly, and potentially save you hundreds of pounds every year - while getting yourself fit!
